Alongside Phil on the yard we have 4 full time members of staff, 5 part time, and Pippa who has her hands full with all the admin.

We thought it would be great if you could get to know the team, so we have listed everyone involved, and made sure they are all given the credit the deserve.

The day starts at 7am with morning feeds and our staff arrive at 8.30 ready for action. We start later and finish at 4.30 most days, but without the conventional break in between. The horses are fed again at 4 and later at 11pm. We have a mixture of routine (with feeding) and variety (with work) that seems to keep the horses very happy. Ours hold their condition and form well.

We feed the very best racing food and chaff from our generous sponsors Topspec (Turbo, Racing balancer & Top chop Alfa) together with sugar beet, whatever additives are required + the all important ad-lib top quality haylage to prevent boredom and the onset of gastric ulcers.

Turnout is an essential part of life for the horses at Dibble, and they usually go out in 2's or 3's and take turns during the day.

Our stables are well ventilated and most have a picturesque view! We bed up on deep straw and our well rugged horses always look superb in their coat and appearance.

Horses that are turned away are not forgotten here, and many recieve haylage and feeds in the field when required to keep up their condition. There are no wet cold horses turned out here in the winter - their well being is essential and all are treated as individuals.

Basically, Dibble Bridge is probably exactly where you racehorse would choose to live if he or she had the choice!

And most importantly....Our Horses

'Amazing King' - 5 year old 15.2hh gelding.  Bought for just £9k after winning a claiming hurdle off 103 (rose to a high of 133 with us) - A revelation since joining the yard. An utter star for all his owners, the New Venture Partnership  - he is a fantastic horse to be assosciated with. Update - Two wins and a second on the flat so far this season.

'Agglestone Rock' - 4 year old 16.1hh gelding claimed for just £10k off the flat to make a Juvenile Hurdler and has now won SIX races. What a succsess story. Incredibly exciting 2-2/5mile chase prospect on softish ground - he has now won 3 out of four over jumps and has gone up to a mark of 135. 5th at Punchestown, beaten 2 short heads for 3rd - just made a mistake at the wrong time but ran with great credit and a lovely prospect for winter 2011.

'Haka Dancer' - 6 year old 16.2hh bay gelding. Winning hurdler in Ireland but bred to win the Kentucky Derby. A big quality horse who  wants quick ground.. Ran well on his debut for us (3rd at Sedgefield in a hot novice) but disappointed on soft ground latter. We gave him a year off to fill out and settle down, and has taken a couple of runs to get going again but showed us plenty of  promise with a fine 2nd at Mussleburgh in a class 3 hurdle. Dissapointed next time and needs a break between runs.  diSSAPOINTING SO FAR BUT RETAINS THE ABILITY TO SPRING A SHOCK.

Goldan Jess' - 15.2hh 5 year old bay gelding by Golan. Winning hurdler rated 103. He is a smart little horse who has been in cracking form all summer, winning over hurdles in god style at Sedgefield and being placed almost each run and 2nd 3 times on the flat. He came to us looking fairly hairy and unfurnished but has filled out and looked great all year.  Jess holds his form superbly well and is the ultimate syndicate horse. he pays for himself with every run and has now had 10 seconds! he is not dodgy, just a bit one paced. 6 seconds and a WIN in 2009.!  1/4 FOR SALE 5th and 3rd first two starts back this summer, the best is yet to come, you have been warned! Miss a share in him at your peril.

'Simply Smashing' 9 year old 16.2 bay gelding. Winning maiden pointer from Ireland. A big scopey horse that stays well . Won  at Carlisle in November and again at hexham in March over 4 miles and AGAIN at hexham in June - an AMAZING win after being tailed off and staying on in brilliant fashion. What a horse!  .Steadily improving despite his 10 years of age, a proper stayer and a lovely big old fashioned chaser.

'Colonel Sherman' 4 year old stallion  by USA sire 'Mr Greeley'. Claimed by Phil in early April 2009, he is a good looking entire with a lovely temperament. Bought to mix flat and hurdling, 2nd, 2nd and 1st latest start -  a real battling win on the AW at kempton in APRIL. A lovely classy horse. 3rd back on turf and now just back in work after a break

'Andorn' 5 year old smallish but gorgeous looking son of world class stallion, Monsun. He is a listed and 4 times winner in Germany. Claimed by Phil after a decent AW 3rd. Ran really consistently all summer for us with a  WIN on the flat at Musselburgh, and 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. The 3rd has gone on to score impressiveley. Shown promise on her 3 starts for a hurdle mark.  50% share available. A super looking mare who showed promise on her first run back this summer with a close 2nd.

'Freedom Flying' 5 year old 15.2hh mare - well bred, low grade handicap hurdler but consistently placed in sellers recently. Just joined the yard and after 38 days here she WON for us first time (her first win in over 2 years) What a result! Back running again after a break and a battling 2nd in the £6k SELLING HURDLE FINAL . oN A BREAK

Royal Entourage and Black Jacari - top class new additions to the yard with excellent flat form in the 80's. Both will mix flat and hurdling and are lovely prospects. Entourage is schooling well and was having a pleasing first start in novice hurdles early June, before unfortunately decanting Kyle at the last when staying on. He is out again soon. Jacari came from Alan Kings with a reputation as being a thinker and hard to win with..but he has proved that theor wrong now update* BLack Jacari WON the main race of the day at Market Rasen at 16-1 ridden by Kyle James. A great result for the yard. Also latest 2nd on the flat at Folkestone.

Earl Grez - young french horse who is well bred but shown little so far on his bumper and hurdle starst for Clive Mulhall. An imposing, strong sort, he has now ran 2 nice race for us in novice hurdles for a mark of 98. Now turned away for the summer.

Avanos - winner this season but sadley injured YEAR OFF.

NEW  Croftbridge - small compact sprint bred 3 year gelding out of the prolific winning mare Ahgowongowon. Wasn't getting home last year in his races with Michael Dodds, has just arived here 28.6.10 and we will see if the hills here put that necessary bit of stamina into him.

NEW  Plus Ultra - 3 year old gelding by Rock of Gibralter. Just purchased at the Horses in Training sales, Newmarket July. To make a juvenile hurdler. Compact, quality, free moving gelding who is rated 72 on the flat and is still a maiden but hopefully not for long. Unexposed and a bright prospect. NEW   Call it On - big, scopey chestnut gelding rated in the 80's on the flat and joins us from Mark Tompkins. Winner on the flat and is now on a break and due to go hurdling this winter. A high class prospect for The Wiggins family from Newmarket.

NEW  Number One Guy - quality indivdual by Rock of Gibralter out of a Darshaan mare. Plenty of abaility, just needs to get his act togther -recently joined us after being gelded, he will be seen out in the next 4-6 weeks and may also go hurdling in time.

Monfils Monfils -  A compact, quality bay gelding with former decent flat form. Will mix flat and hurdles and has just enjoyed a short freshening break with jumping schooling prior to his arrival with us on the 25th July. a month or so off a run.

Pennek - fine big chaser who has joined us from Alan KIngs. Had some time off with injury but fit and ready to run this winter - we are all excited to getting him back on track.
